A fraction is a part of whole, here are some examples






The top number is a "Numerator".
The bottom number is a "Denominator".

Even if the fractions are different they still have the same amount.
For example 1/2 is the same as 2/4, 4/8, 8/16, 16/32, 32/64, 64/128, 128/256 & 256/512
